We operate one of Asia’s
largest regional electronic payment networks
consisting of 14,000 Points of Sale (“POS”)
that can accept cash payments for prepaid services
such as pre-paid mobile Top Ups, and process
debit and credit card transactions. Today, we
generate most of our revenues from selling Mobile
Top Up services for 10 mobile operators in 3
countries.
e-pay buys prepaid airtime directly from the
mobile operators at a discount retail price
and distribute it electronically to consumers
via our network of authorised Retail Agents.
We have approximately 14,000 Retail Agents selling
our Mobile Top Up service and collectively we
process more than 100 million Mobile Top Up transactions
per month.
Our Retail Agents consists mainly of major chains
of convenience stores, mobile phone dealers, petrol
stations and pharmacies. e-pay’s Terminals look
similar to many credit card readers and is similarly
located at the check-out counters. We provide the Retail
Agents with the Terminal, free of set up charges whilst
the Retail Agents pays for the telephone line rental
and call charges associated with communicating with
e-pay’s network.
e-pay’s business success is built not only on
its reputation of delivering reliable technology solutions
and services, but also our ability to develop and maintain
long term mutually rewarding relationships with three
important key groups – consumers, Retail Agents
and suppliers.
Consumers
the individual using the prepaid
mobile service. The majority of these prepaid
mobile users do not have credit cards and want
the ability to use cash to purchase prepaid
airtime at convenient locations near their home
at any time; e-pay offer these consumers the
flexibility of either cash or card payments
options at established retail locations such
as 7-Eleven which is open 24 hours every day
of the year.
Retail Agents
the party, usually a retail
outlet or mobile phone dealer whom the payment
is made to and where the electronic top up request
is sent from. e-pay adds value to the Retail
Agents’ business by providing them with
a product that is in constant demand, attractive
commissions that generates recurring revenues,
and increased frequent customer traffic leading
to increased sale of other products.
Suppliers
the product owner are usually
a mobile operator or a telephone company. The
suppliers enjoy the benefits of being able to
provide their customers with cash payment facilities
at any of the e-pay’s thousands of convenient
locations, without the requirement of any significant
investment on their part.
